THE ESSENCE OF PARENTING

Beyond the quick fixes, opposing styles and well-meaning advice

American parents are the “most exhausted, afraid, confused, frustrated, judgmental, obsessed and least satisfied than any other parents in the world” according to Dr. James J. McKenna, researcher, biological anthropologist, and founder of the Mother-Baby Behavioral Sleep Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame.

In this three-part workshop we will investigate the crucial question of why. Not only to better support parents, but for the very wellbeing and joy of every family and for the future health of our culture.

Together we will explore who we, as parents, need to “BE” to successfully “DO” the things that every child requires (and deserves) to help them become a compassionate and responsible adult.

Topics will include:

  • Knowing our Motives

  • Seeing It Through the Eyes of a Child

  • Cultivating Wise Speech

  • Conscience Intention

  • Character vs Emotion

  • True meaning of Discipline

  • Meaningful Attachment and Trust
